The four postal ZIP codes, 22150 through 22153, hold more than 108,000. Which storms have actually hit the Springfield area?

Dominion also reported about 700 customers without power across the Burke, Springfield and Fairfax area the next morning. The roofs described in the reports were in Burke, not Springfield.
Closer to home, a large tree fell through a house on Charnwood Street in Springfield during storms on July 1 and 2, 2021. That is one house, not a neighborhood count, but it shows why trees near the roof deserve a look after wind. The overnight storm of September 3 and 4, 2026 brought gusts of 69 mph around Tysons and left more than 16,000 county customers without power.
